Data Analyst

The Role

As a Data Analyst, it is your role to productise Hatched’s proprietary datasets. You will analyse the datasets and test if they have “alpha”; can the dataset predict a reported KPI of the target publicly listed company? You will work as part of a team of data analysts who are trying to crack a pipeline of proprietary datasets.

The role requires a self-starter who takes ownership of work and is self-accountable. This is an opportunity to work in a growing and fast-paced company with strong leadership.

What We Need You To Do

Analyse datasets and evaluate their predictive power and reliability;
Become an expert in the target businesses to better understand how to interpret our data;
Manage client reports;
Develop strong relationships with clients;
Communicate effectively with non-statistics folk – both verbally and in writing;
Take ownership of work and be self-accountable;
Promote a work environment that is collegial, dynamic and professional.

What You Bring to Hatched

1+ years of work experience as a financial analyst, data analyst or consultant;
Fluency in statistical modelling tools such as R or Python;
Proficiency in Tableau;
Ability to work with obscure data and a curiosity to go beyond the data;
A questioning mindset;
Ability to translate technical material to a non-technical audience;
Literacy in financial accounts.
